Jerald Wolff believes that every child deserves a school experience where they don't just survive, but truly belong and thrive. As a strategic operations leader, certified principal, and behavioral science expert, Jerald has dedicated nearly two decades to shifting how school systems support their most diverse learners.
Jerald’s journey in education began in 2010. A native of Atlanta, he took his passion for development north to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, diving into kinesiology, physical education, and youth development. But it was his eventual move to Philadelphia that solidified both his personal and professional purpose. Philly is where he planted deep roots, met his wife, and built his family. Today, he is a proud husband and father of two children—including a gifted learner who keeps him sharp and constantly inspires his work.
Jerald’s passion for learners with complex needs isn’t just academic; it’s deeply personal. Growing up, he was highly intelligent but intimately understood the weight of struggling with intense anxiety and executive functioning. He experienced firsthand how crucial the school environment is to a child's success.
For Jerald, the ultimate metric of a school's success isn't just a test score—it’s whether the kids actually enjoy being there. That sense of belonging and joy was the single biggest catalyst for his own desire to do well, and it drives his dedication to keeping kids engaged. Combined with a deep-seated belief in building a lasting family legacy of achievement, Jerald balances his intense professional drive with personal longevity, prioritizing staying in peak physical shape to ensure he is there for his family and his community for the long haul.
Professionally, Jerald operates at the rare intersection of behavioral science and district-level organizational strategy. Over his career, he has scaled foundational frameworks from single classrooms to regional networks, ultimately overseeing specialized programs and compliance across more than 90 school sites.
His extensive credentials and areas of expertise include:
District-Level Leadership: Former KIPP leadership team member and Services Coordinator for Gifted Education within a large PA school district, managing complex workflows, multi-indicator data modeling, and legal compliance.
Behavioral Expertise: Deeply rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) as a Registered Behavior Therapist and Consultant, with specialized expertise in FBA, BIP, and Trauma-Informed Coaching.
Diverse & Exceptional Populations: Specialized knowledge in designing compliant, high-impact programming for neurodivergent, autistic, gifted, and "Twice-Exceptional" (2e) learners—those who, like Jerald once did, possess high intelligence alongside distinct learning or emotional needs.
Academic Credentials: Holds a Post-Masters' in Educational Leadership (PA Principal K-12 Certification), a Master of Education in Special Education (ABA), and a B.S. from the University of Michigan.
Whether coaching school leaders, structuring district-wide compliance, or designing positive school cultures, Jerald’s blueprint remains unchanged: integrate rigorous science with genuine empathy so that every child can love learning and realize their full potential.
